Closed or gone (1)

Places anglers still look for that are closed, damaged or no longer exist, so you don't make the drive.

  1. Davis Road / Jetty Boat Launch & Jetty Pier (closed)

Calcasieu Ship Channel — Gulf access · Saltwater

Cameron Parish closed the Jetty Pier, this launch and the south end of Davis Road in March 2019 for the Calcasieu Pass LNG plant. No reopening notice found as of Oct 2026 — call the Police Jury (337-775-5718) before driving down.

    GPS 29° 46.075' N, 93° 20.532' W (29.76792, -93.34220)

Before you go: Ramp hours, fees and conditions change, and several launches were damaged by the 2020 hurricanes. Call ahead or check with the parish before a long drive. Refuge launches follow Sabine National Wildlife Refuge rules and seasons. Bay reefs are low-profile and sit in shallow water, so idle in. Gulf reefs are a run offshore: go only in a capable boat on a calm day.
